PC Flame Retardant Masterbatch MB-M858
Inovia MB-M858 is a novel halogen-free flame retardant masterbatch (FR content 30 wt.%), developed for PC film/sheets. Adding 9~10% would get UL94 VTM 0 or V0. MB-M858 can be used in film and sheet applications without adding anti-dripping (PTFE). The relative FR PC products are commonly used in electronic components, automotive parts, architectural decoration, etc.
1. Materials
- PC raw material: Covestro 2805
- Flame retardant: Inovia MB-M858 (FR content 30 wt.%)
2. Processing
- Drying condition: 120℃, 4 hours.
- Extrusion temperature: 250~260 ℃
- Casting temperature: 260~275 ℃, roller temperature: 140 ℃
- Sheet thickness: 0.40 mm

Note: The film casting machine we used, is a small experimental type without vacuum pump, which leading to a number of crystal point bubbles present in the film. And that maybe effect the properties. The data above is only for reference.
